cuti ni....

Assalamualaikum warrahmatullahi wabarakatuh. :D

WOOHOO, SUMMER'S COMING SOOOOON, INSYAALLAH.
TIME TO PARTYY, STAY UP LATEE, WASTE TIMEE...not.

No way are any of us here going to let you waste your life like that, right? :P

So here's a list of what you SHOULD do this summer insyaAllah. (we're aiming for Jannah, remember?) :D

  1. Start by waking up early in the morning. Which obviously means sleeping early too. When you wake up early, the day feels much longer, trust me. (based on experience of those rare moments when I'm up early.) You just feel like you've achieved much more by the end of the day. (:
  2. Have a planner; daily, weekly and monthly. Pre-plan when you're going to achieve all your goals. This also helps you manage your time more properly and will help you in the future insyaAllah.
  3. Make goals and aims this summer, and stick to them. Try to make them realistic yet challenging, you know?
  4. Make our time revolve around prayer timings, so that this helps us insyaAllah pray on time and such and also because this, in a way, makes our time revolve more around the act of Ibadah. (:
  5. And now comes a totally other section for Qur'an and Dzikr and such, because nobody likes reading stuff in a whole big bunch, eh? :P
SO WE SHALL BEGIN WITH THE QUR'AN. :D
  • Let's aim to memorise more Qur'an? It's going to help us to reach a higher level in JannahinsyaAllah and it really is beneficial. I mean it helps us learn more words, helps us know more about Islam and so on and so forth. It's also a cure. (: I think the arabic word was shifa' or sth? SOMEONE CORRECT ME.
  • Look up not only the meanings of the Qur'an, but also the tafseer. It helps you understand more about what the Qur'an says and it also helps explain. So you then start knowing WHY you do all that Allah tells you to do. And not just follow blindly. Knowing why we have to do something really helps you inpursuing doing that thing. InsyaAllah.
  • Derive your own lessons from the tafseer. Copy out ayat's you like in the Qur'an. Write them on paper with colour pens and stick them up on your wall or wherever in the house. Make it a reminder for not only you, but your whole family. Plus, your house would look amazingly more colourful too. (:
  • All that you have memorised, repeat. When you're bored or anything, instead of singing a song, which I admit I am guilty of too at times, you can just start reciting what you've recently memorised. It helps. And I like to recite it in a melody too, which helps more. :P
NOW WE GO TO DZIKR. :D (yes, you're probably tired of reading by now, but go on for your own sake please. :P )
  • Do LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of dzikr. Look them up and their benefits, you can write them and paste them on your walls too. There are different rewards for different types of dzikr but all of them are beneficial, and they're easy to do too.
  • We should also start doing the morning and evening dzikr, insyaAllah. I'm quite sure you were all listening to what Auntie Rozi said, righttt? :P Basically, take it step by step. It'll all come naturally eventually insyaAllah. Plus, the reward for it is ooo la la, you know? x] i mean totally awesome in case you don't get it. xD
  • You can refer to the book More than a 1000 Sunnah Every Day and Night. Page 112 for the above dzikrs. And there should be other stuff too. MARKK ITT.

NOW WE GO TO FASTING AND RAMADAN. :D (YOU'RE ALMOST TOWARDS THE END, YOU CAN DO IT!)
  • Try out voluntary fasting. Mondays and Thursdays and the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Islamic month. It's when the moon is full. I like to stare at the moon on these days. It's like a reminder of why I'm fasting and it's a nice feeling. But ok, I'm getting off topic. So yeah. I'm sure you're thinking, IN THESE HEAT? YOU WANT ME TO DIE? You drama queen. :P Well, the thing is, Ramadan's coming around the same time too, isn't it? so you might as well get practising. And it really is easy once you're used to it, insyaAllah.
  • Ramadan: we ALL know almost ALL about this awesome month, don't we? Don't waste it. Treasure it. Properly utilise it. It comes once a year. And this just might be our last one. Last year's Ramadan might be our last one. Get what I mean? Don't miss this chance. And trust me, I'm talking to myself just as much as I am to you.
  • AND GUESS WHAT? JUST ONE MORE PARAGRAPH TO GO.
Now, I really don't like seeing you guys suffer, so I'm just going to sum up by reminding you of our homework and the take advantage of 5 before 5 thing because I like saying it. :D

homework : Hafal the first 10 ayats of Surah Al Kahf, please. (PROTECTS YOU FROM THAT EVIL ONE EYED DUDE - The Dajjal.)

And the Hadith :

Take advantage of 5 before 5 ;
Your youth before your old.
Your richness before your poverty.
Your health before your illness.
Your leisure before your being busy.
Your LIFE before your DEATH.

AND I'M DONE. Hah, I bet you're like laughing with relief now. Say Alhamdulillah lah. :P

But hope you've benefited from that, InsyaAllah.

Wassalam and love,

ps. I love you guys for the sake of Allah, got it? ;)
pps. gosh, I'm sleepy.

Islam isn't just a religion; it's a way of life. ;D
